No Obstructions
Icewear does not cover the wheel or the screen, rather it is intentionally left open for complete control and view. That is the way Apple designed the iPod and that is the way it is left. The screen is protected by embossed edges so that it does not get scratched.

No Distracting Attachment
Icewear is made of very strong silicone, and we have added a belt loop so that you can put it on your waist belt or shoulder carry bag without any additional clutter.

Icewear is made of high clarity transparent silicone. It is the same kind used in diving masks and does not cause any skin irritation. Attention to Detail

Icewear has shock absorbing RIBs on each side of the case. A drop from your desk can damage the delicate iPod's body, but when protected with Icewear, there should be little or no damage. The RIBs also provide better GRIP for the iPod in your hands.

Secrets of the RIB
There are 7 RIBs on each side with a total of 14 RIBs to protect your iPod. So at whichever angle the iPod falls, the RIBs almost always protect your iPod. The RIBs also act as a SLIPSTOP mechanism.

Tunewear did not want to cover the iPod screen. On earlier design prototypes, Tunewear covered the screen but no matter how thin they made the screen cover, you lost some visibility on the LCD. So they thought hard and came up with the idea of protecting the screen with embossed edges to give it fenced protection from contact with your surroundings.
